Coffee Fest Update: 5 Restaurants Not To Miss in Chicago

Coffee Fest

Coffee Fest Chicago February 18 - 20, 201

Ed Debevic’s

640 N Wells St (Ohio Street)
Chicago, IL 60610
(312) 664-1707

Orchestrated ’50s mayhem recalls the diner in the old television series “Happy Days.” Ed’s is jam-packed with action: period decor and memorabilia, deejays spinning gems from the ’50s-’70s (“Tutti Frutti,” “The Twist”) and gum-cracking waitstaff, who shtick it up by dishing out rude comments to all.

615 N. State St. (between ohio st. & ontario st.)
Chicago, Il 60611

After Peter Falk and Burgess Meredith, Graham Elliot is now the third-most-celebrated television personality to have inhabited historic Tree Studios. At grahamwich—the most anticipated restaurant to open in 2010 after Girl & the Goat—the grilled cheese sandwiches are simply hot, toasty, cheesy and delicious… The coffee? Portable French Press utilizing the XPress lid by SmartCup. There’s a communal table in the rear and there’s a four-sandwich limit per customer.

Murphy’s Red Hots

1211 West Belmont Avenue
Chicago, IL 60657-3205

Murphy’s takes their hot dogs on a “walk thru the garden”, adding tomatoes and cucumbers on top of the usual “everything” fixin’s, which is why some dub their dogs a “Chicago salad”. Try the gut busting char-broiled foot long for a real treat. Hand cut fries make for a nice side.

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!

2024 N. Halsted
Chicago, IL 60614
(773) 935-5000

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! is known for Tapas, the hot & cold appetizers of Spain; Paella, a typical Valencian rice dish served with vegetables and meat or seafood; and Sangria, Spain’s famous wine “fiesta” drink made from fruit, wine and liquors.

1723 N Halsted St
Chicago, IL 60614
(312) 867-0110

Alinea is the Willy Wonka of fine dining, but it’s his food coupled with the experience of eating the food which makes Alinea unique. From the way you enter the restaurant to how you get your check… all very unique.
